Keep On Soldiering Til’ He Comes
It’Have you ever wondered what it would take to make it to heaven and hear the Lord say, “Well Done!”? If you are
looking for a clue as to how to make that great day, you can find it in the Word of God. Before going any further along those lines, we all would be wise to take note of the Apostle Paul’s warning. “But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3 WEB) We must be careful!
It’If you want to see Jesus. If you want to hear Him speak those wonderful words, it’s really pretty simple. Once you’ve started living for Jesus… just keep on keeping on! Don’t stop! Don’t turn around! Don’t give up! Keep your eyes on the prize of the high calling of Jesus Christ and soldier on! Don’t be deceived!
It’Listen loud to the warning found written to the good folks of Galatia. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” These are powerful words that apply to each of us. It goes on to say, “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” And if that isn’t spoken clearly enough, listen to the man of God’s opening statement. “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7-9)
It’Don’t be deceived. Keep on keeping on. Sadly enough, if a person is looking for a place to quit, they will always find it. But you are NOT a quitter! God has chosen you out of some eight billion people on planet Earth. You have a high calling! And with that high calling, God has also empowered you to live a Godly, holy life! So, stop listening to the lies of the devil. Stop listening to the deceptions of your flesh. Stop listening to the deceits of supposed friends who only want to bring you down to their level!
It’Come on man! Be a man of Godly leadership to your family. Come on woman! Be a woman of faith and righteousness and stability to your family. Come on saint of God! Stop slipping and get a new grip on your faith. Reconsecrate. Rededicate and be renewed by and through your prayer. Be rejuvenated through your worship and praise. And find fulfillment by working for the kingdom. Don’t be deceived, you were called for a purpose. You’ve got to keep on keeping on if you are ever going to fulfill it. God is coming soon. All you’ve got to do is keep on soldiering til’ He comes. Don’t stop! It’s just that simple.
